I'm trying to be very patient about buying my first mac, but it's getting very frustrating. Reading the forums everyday, seeing people with problems I wish I was having if it meant having a Macbook haha. But anyway heres my question..

I plan on buying a MBP, and hopefully a 24" cinema display, which should even out to roughly $3,000USD. Other then the Back to school ipod special, are there any financial benefits waiting until summer? Any chance of slight price decrease?

Possible. Market continues to get worse Apple might take a cut into their margins to appeal to a wider audience. There is no annual "summer special" as far as I know of though. The iPod special is worth it though for sure. If you don't want to use the iPod just craigslist it and pocket $200. Same as savings anyways.
