    I highly recommend the Otterbox Defender Case, I've had this on my 16gb iPhone 2g since March 2008 and its still going strong. :)

    It adds a little bulk to the iPhone, but its pretty much bulletproof, moderately waterproof, and it also includes a tough holster.
