They're only giving $50 on the MB. The $200 off is on the high end MBP.

Yes, since if I had to replace one thing on my MBP it would probably cost me more then the Apple care costs.

You can buy Apple Care any time during the first year of ownership. Apple Care is a good investment, but I know how much of a wallet-buster a new laptop can be (especially Apple). Wait a few months to recover, then get it. You won't regret it, it's great peace of mind. Good luck.

MBP (with student discount) = $2049
    + AppleCare $279
    + taxes (13% right?)
    = $2630.64? hmmm? + printer?

Maybe I'll ask my parents to pay for it lol...need to convince them. Worst part of AppleCare is the no accidental =/

Not really, I just have a job and can save money, and have no bills to pay.

Apple Care is for 3 years.

Yeah, it is not for 3 years after the standard 1 year warranty, its 2 years after the standard 1 year warranty and can be bought anytime before your initial 1 year warranty runs out for it to still be valid. Just clearing things up. :)
