I know that question doesn't make any sense, but today i left my MBP with safari running logged into facebook. When i returned i saw on my newsfeed that i "posted" spam comments to almost all of my friends. The message was:

whats up Samantha? how have you been? Did you see that FB teamed up with this site and they are doing a ringers giveaway?

    http://hs.facebook.com/share_redirect.php?url=http://Undrground581028.blogspot.com

Is this negligence on my part that i somehow logged into a fake facebook login as seen with myspace and someone got my account and password from that. Or is it actual spyware?
I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have. Thanks.

It sounds like you were phished. Phishing does not require you to install or have anything get installed on your computer.

What's with the ringtone? Maybe fake address/account?

Could go either way, though considering it's a Mac, and there is less Mac malware, phishing seems more likely.

If you're sitting on the 'net (raw) with screen sharing enabled (all users) and your firewall off...

    just a thought...

I'm pretty sure it was phishing. I've heard of it happening a lot of times on Myspace, but I thought Facebook was pretty good with that stuff.

It's become a much bigger issue from those I know who use it.

I've seen myspace pages that have been hacked and they actually rewrite the nav bars at the top.
