    Hey guys,

I have a MBA but not really digging the silver color anymore. I was thinking about spray painting it black. Is this safe to do?

    Thanks!

Probably a lot easier to get a speck or incase hard case in a color; if you ever decide to resell, it will go easier too.

I prefer adding solid black backing to mine and black palm rest area around the keyboards, and leaving the rest silver....

I use the stuff at MacStyles.com

I was just going to recommend some type of vinyl skin over painting it. At least vinyl skins are temporary, fairly inexpensive, and are a lot easier to install than painting anything (which would require taking the MBA apart).

ZAGG has some decent quality skins. No liquid, installation is a bit annoying since the sheets are so large, but the end result is nice.
