Gotten a little tired of windows machines and I'll be switching soon but I have a couple of questions.

I have a HD camcorder and have a ton of AVCHD video. Is there a program that will play this on a Mac without having to use bootcamp or parallels?

Is there a program similar to Microsoft Publisher and Outlook for Mac? Is Pages similar to Publisher? Would I need Entourage? Is Apple mail similar to Outlook?

    Sorry for all these questions.

iMovie 09 should do AVCHD. Not sure about Publisher but for Outlook there is always Thunderbird.

Pages is like a hybrid of Publisher and a somewhat scaled-back Word. Apple mail is closer to Thunderbird than to Outlook. Check out Roxio Toast for video needs.

Edit: or just use iMovie, which comes with the machine :)
