    hi all.

I would like to know one thing about your macs.
This may be decisive to convince my wife about the
"switching"...this sounds silly but it is quite important...

Could you please check if you can play this games online ?
(no installation needed. I just need to know whether you can
    play or not)

www.popcap.com (games like Zuma, AstroPop, RocketMania)
    www.miniclip.com (anything)
    http://games.yahoo.com/ (insaniquarium)

I surely appreciate your help !

BTW, I went to an Apple Store
and was able to play the online version of "nordic chill"
    from www.miniclip.com

I was using an ibook G4 1.25GHz and the game was really, really slow.
Does anyone know whether this is expected ?

At my workplace our Celeron PCS with old video cards
are able to handle this game much better.

Does anyone know whether this difference in performance
    is due some tweaking ?

    Thanks, again.

If the games are not avaliable for MAC then

you can always install Virtual PC and play them...

    Thanks titan0111.

My concern is that an ibook G4 can not handle
these small online games even using virtual PC.

I was expecting a better performance due its
dedicated 32Mb video card but one of the games
was very slow at the Apple Store.

    Too bad...

I doubt poor performence had anything to do with the hardware because simple internet games arent very stressing at all to a computer it was more likely the internet connection
