I wanted to buy a Zepto Znote 6214W, but in the end, being a mac user for more than 10 years, made me fall for the Macbook. I've gotta save up money for it and it probably will be some months untill I buy one, but I have two questions in my head right now.

Knowing the 950 GMA gaming performance is not THAT bad when setting everything @ low detail, I'll need a Windows XP partition for that, and other purposes. But, I'll also need to run basic WinXP programs while using Mac OS X. So, can I set up a WinXP partition with Boot Camp and also virtualize WinXP with Parallels Desktop from the same partition or I'll need two WinXP installs in my Mac?

Is the Macbook's RAM the same as other actual notebook RAM? I'm saying this because if I order the 2ghz Core2Duo with 1 gb of RAM (2x512) instead of 2x1024, I'll save up 180 euros (219$, that's a lot of money...) and my mom has an Acer Travelmate 8200 with 2x1024 DDR2 667 mhz (I think, though 800 mhz would also work on a Macbook?) that she uses for web browsing and viewing photos. 1 GB would suffice for those tasks and then my question is, would the Acer's DIMMs work with the Macbook or must I buy the Macbook with 2 gb of RAM?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

The Windows partition set up with Boot Camp will currently not be compatible with Parallels. If you are planning on using WinXP both in Boot Camp and Parallels, you will need 2 XP installs. However, this problem might be resolved in a future release of Parallels.

The RAM should be compatible, but sometimes it isn't. It's a risk you are going to have to take. Nevertheless, there are tried and tested RAM sticks that are much cheaper than the ones Apple provide.
