Sold my MBP 15 inch 5.1 with a Core 2 Duo 2.53 ghz from late 2008. I owned it for 3 years and 12 days. It stuck with me during the good times and bad, I roughed it up here and there but it still kept on going. But once my T520 arrived with a decked out quad core and sata3 SSD, the MBP started to show its age and I had no use for it any longer. The T520 is here to stay.

I put back the original 4 GB of ram (had 6), and the stock 320gb 5400rpm hard drive (Had a Seagate Momentus XT 500gb). I listed it on Craigslist for $1000, thinking I'd get lowballed to $700, which I would have accepted. Heck, I would even have accepted $600.

To my surprise, I had somebody offer $900. Just for kicks, I said I would 'upgrade' the ram to gb6 and the hard drive to 500gb for $1000. He took it.

So I got $1000 for a 3 year old computer. I'm amazed how well Macs keep their value....can't say the same for my Thinkpad, though.

That is true as $1000 US would be too good of a deal here.
