I know for sure that I will be keeping my desktop, and the stuff I do at home will probably take place on the PC. The Macbook will be use when I am away from home.

How can I make the sync between the two computers hassle free? Only option I know of would be using, say a USB HDD and copying files over every day. I will probably need daily syncs of probably the "My Documents", "My Photos", and "My Music" folders between the Mac and PC.

Hopefully there is a hassle free way of doing this that doesn't involve extensive use of the USB HDD. Maybe it would even be possible to do this wirelessly via my home network.

What are your guys' input on my situation?

Apple has mobile me, which lots of people use, and syncs stuff cross platform, and you have access to all your info online.

    Though it does cost money.

I used Microsoft's Foldershare. Super simple to set up and works perfectly.

IDK if this would be overkill, but setting up a homeserver isn't very hard,

Best Buy stores that sell apple computers also sell a PC to MAC sync cable; but it's not in every BB.

Thanks, I like the looks of this. I like how I can access a virtual desktop online.

Lol, I was looking more for a "set it and forget it" kind of solution.

Remote desktop is the only thing not supported yet. Everything else including folder synchronization and on-line file access via the Live Mesh Web Desktop is fully supported.

Ugh. why do they have to add that ridiculous bar on all the live mesh folders on windows. that's a killer for me but everything else is great.
