The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. that Mac's aren't over priced.

How else does profit go up 73% if all the suckers don't have an orgytastic fascination for brand allegiance?

I actually think it's partly the fact that with the latest Graphics update, the macbook pro has increased appeal to the notebook consumer. It wasn't that they were particularly overpriced (even though they somewhat are) but a drastic increase in the number of sales than what they expected. I know this firsthand because I was supposed to purchase my MBP with the 15% discount that my employee friend is eventually supposed to get, but because it's been selling so well, the back orders haven't been cleared and so he is yet to be able to actually buy it at 15% (i eventually went the ADC route).

Also, why go into the forum just to start a argument ;p

Not going to talk about price or anything.. but perhaps their profit could have increased because they're just selling more?

All Apple products have industry leading margins.

You pay extra for the nice box and the nice product design, then you pay even more for the nice box and nice product design.
