Also what is the stock cas latency of Apples DDR 3 1066mhz ram?

Just getting ready for Lion, and my Macbook is constantly running out of ram.

I am using all of my 2 gbs plus 3.5 Swap.

Apple doesn't support 8gb of ram in the metal unibody macbook... but I have read in a few places that people have done it and it worked... I'd search around for info on other people who have tried it first before trying it myself... even 4gb would be a major upgrade over 2...

I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro and its the metal unibody 8Gb works fine, if the motherboards are the same in the MacBook's then yes it will work but I don't know that they are or aren't different.

    they aren't...

its possible the unibody metal macbook has the same motherboard as the 2009 13" macbook pro though... but the 2010 has a newer chipset.
