So I bought myself a Powerbook G4 12" today, as an extra computer for school. Man the battery life is long. I really like this little bugger. I've found equivalents for most of my apps (OneNote, where are you?), but is there anyway to control the fans that work on 10.3 Panther (what came preloaded)?

Fans? Hmm...does SMCFanControl work on Panther? If it does, then that will the fan control application you want.

You should try circus ponies notebook, it's a nice "mac-ky" equivalent to one note.

I'll try circus ponies notebook. SMCfancontroller doesn't work on PPC laptops (since they don't have a smc controller)

Is there a way to make page up and down to work like in windows, instead of jumping to the top or bottom of the page? I have no way of fastly navigating back up a page (I use spacebar to go down).

To jump to the top of the page, hold down the Apple/Command key and then press the Up arrow...to jump to the bottom, hold down the same key and press the Down arrow.

I know that. That's how i Don't want it to be. I want it to jump up a part of the page (like it does on windows) or jump down a part of the page (like when you press spacebar).

Oh okay, then you will want to press Option and the Up arrow. Option + Down or Spacebar to go down.

Yea, it'd be nice if there was an OSX version of OneNote 2007.

I personally use Circus Ponies Notebook, already mentioned above.
    Other great alternatives would be:

    OmniOutliner (standard or pro)
    VoodooPad
    DevonThink
    Journler
    Yojimbo
    xPad
    Scrivener
    WriteRoom
    Mori
    ...

there are a ton more. The Apple community seems obsessed with calendar, organizational, GTD, notetaking software. The Omni Group alone has like 4-5 different programs that implement a combination of these features.
