    Hey,

I recently had my cousin get me a june mbp(7 hr battery ones) from the US, since it's much cheaper there than here in india. He ordered it online and brought it here while he was shifting from there.

How do i apply for the upto date program which costs 10$ ?

I dont know the date of purchase, the place of purchase, city , state.

And fyi, I live in india. So i'm guessing there's another problem pertaining to the shipping right?

Guys, any thoughts on this ? coz i might have to buy the os x snow leopard separately at this iStore here.

    Thanks a lot!

The US Snow Leopard update program is for people with a US address only, so I'm afraid you will not be able to opt into that programme. I am uncertain whether or not Apple is running a similar promotion in India.

I'm not sure you'll be able to get it in India as you'll need to provide them with a copy of the purchase receipt or at least a packing slip showing the model number. If they see that it was purchased in the US they may not process it.

You might have a better chance of getting it if you know someone in the US who can claim it for you using the receipt or packing slip and then just shipping it to you.

Thanks for the link Tinderbox - I was wondering if the UK had a upgrade option too so I changed the 'in' to 'uk' in your link and it did indeed work :)
