This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    SmcFanControl Not working?

    Hey guys, now ive finally got bootcamp and parallels talking, my mbp is at a point where i can actually use it (MSN on mac is pants!).

    One problem, i notice my temps are getting ridiculous with all this going on, which is understandable.

    I have downloaded and installed smcfancontrol, but when i start the application, i get a warning about it not being tested on that machine, i hit continue and nothing.

    I can see the application is running in activity monitor, but i cant alt-tab to it or find the window anywhere?
    Any ideas?

    Any other fan control software out there?
