Just wondering if there were any good or recommended carrying cases for the 13" Macbook Aluminum (or any other 13" cases that are fairly small for maximum portability). I will be dragging this thing around campus so it'd be nice if it didn't look ugly too. :p

I was also wondering if it would be worth it to get a protective film for the chasis, or if its aluminum casing doesn't attract as many scratches as say, the aluminum backing of an iPod touch.

I have my Macbook in an Aussiebag sleeve. Great looking; form-fitting, and great support from the company (I lost the keyboard protector, and they sent me a new from Australia free of charge).

Aussiebag sleeves are pricey, but worth it.

Of course, my first love is the Zeroshock III sleeve if you are lookng for something more protective, if a bit bulkier.

My wife and I are both using the InCase 13" MacBook sleeve, retails @ $35. You can find it at Apple's site.

The exterior of the MB and MBP is brushed, not polished, aluminum. Won't protect against all scratches, but will certainly be resistant to some degree and will not be as touchy as the polished surfaces of the iPods.

I was looking at it and a couple of people said it wouldn't fit the new Macbook very well. There were also instances of the zipper scratching the side of the case.

What do you guys think about this one? The booq Taipan.

    +1 Incase. :)

Mine has fit my macbook perfectly well, and it seems quite protective, and I'm happy with it. I personally, have no scratches from the case.

Yea, lots of people seem to like the incase sleeves.

And you can go into an apple store and ask to try it out before you actually buy it.

And theyre pretty stretchy, i know other people who use them on hp and dell laptops, and they stretch to fit them pretty well. Not designed to fit those laptops, but they seem to work fine.

    WaterField Deisgns/SFBags.com FTW.
I've been using them for 6 years. Incredible build quality, Incredible support, Incredible company.

Bought a sleeve for my 4.5 year old powerbook that still looks new. Gonna get another one for my new early08 MBP.

I got the Case Logic Model PAS-13 in black. I'm very happy with it, and I love the extra side pocket for the power cord. Amazon has it for less than the Case Logic site.
