Hello,
I just received my MBP 13" yesterday. So far I love it. However, I noticed an issue. Last when I put my MBP to sleep, it had about 30% battery left. However, when I woke up this morning and opened my MBP, the battery went down to 13%.
When I put the laptop to sleep, I had a pdf file open along with itunes (paused). I have never used Mac OS, so maybe I not doing something correct. Also, I noticed when I open the lid (after I put the notebook to sleep) it just goes directly back to the desktop as opposed to on windows it prompts to the login screen when waking it up from sleep mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

There are settings that could be causing the extra draw of power. Here's a link to Apple's support site that talks about the sleep mode. I hope it helps.

There is an option under security (system pref) that can make the Mac prompt for password when it comes out of sleep.

Sleep is a low power state, so having some battery drain is normal. If you want it to be "off" there is a hibernate option. If sleeping and your battery gets too low, it should auto-hibernate so it doesn't lose its save state.

How do you hibernate with a mac? -
there is some way to change it to always do it, but its not a normally used function designed to be activated.... I know I've read directions on multiple websites that explain how to make the change. -
I worried about hibernation when I first got my Mac. The I realized that it shut down in 4 seconds and started faster than my PC (vista) could wake up from hibernation.
Sleep mode doesn't use much energy so you must have something that is stopping it from properly entering sleep mode. My earlier link highlights some of the causes. -
You should definitely look into SmartSleep.
