I didn't expect to be having to rant twice in one week about an apple product... but here I am ...

I want a poll on a very specific characteristic for those of you who have mobile me ...
create an event / to do in ical client (on your desktop machine/ portable machine). Please confirm whether this gets replicated automatically to the cloud. (ur online mobileme space). you can wait 15 minutes in the event you have "automatic sync" option enabled in your system preferences "mobile me" pane.

As per the behaviour I have noticed, even after the 15 minute period, there was no syncing between my mac and mobileme cloud. It'ld be great if you could confirm/ conflict my findings...

It appears that apple has falsely stated that there will be auto syncronization to and from the cloud for all devices that we have that are mobile me enabled. This appears to NOT be the case. Apple's official features claim regarding mobileme is the following "When you make a change on one device, the cloud updates the others. Push happens automatically, instantly, and continuously."

What are your findings? and incase you're having different results could you care to state your settings (as in ... whether you have back to mack ON or OFF, whether you have syncing set to automatic or otherwise, whether you perform manual syncs to get your calendars in sync with mobileme).

Here's a huge thread on the official apple discussion forum

I would agree with you Zambie, unless I manually sync nothing on my Mac goes to the cloud. Contacts or Ical items.

Maybe with all the server problems they have been having, maybe they decided to turn that function off until things calm down a bit.

Works fine for me. I can make a change on my MB and it will show up on my MBA as well. I haven't timed it, but it works.
