This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Should I just go ahead and order directly from apple.com/store? Apple ships it within 1-5 business days and instead of waiting for approximately two months for Apple Store to ship the Macbook, I can forego the extra saving of about $120 and just get the Macbook now.

    I don't know the deal why Amazon is taking so long to ship these Macbooks.

    Maybe, but perhaps they're stocking up. The MacBook is a hot product so maybe they expect to sell a lot of them. Especially with the good discount.

    Yes, even with my school discount, the amazon deal was better.

    I have amazon prime so if they ship, it'll get here in two days. :)
