I know it is unlikely we will see any new notebooks, but I also know most of us are Apple fans in general. So here is a link to a live update of the show:
http://www.macrumorslive.com/
They are very good at keeping up and never go down. Also this MAY be a link to a live feed, but I doubt it will work:
http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/sep_2006/event/index.html
Engadget also usually has pictures of the event:

I will edit this post as the event goes on to include the announcements. We can also use this thread is anyone wants to discuss the thread.

Event over. So what do you guys think?!
-
-
wow, looks like no "true ipod video". This is gonna be some major disappointment.
-
OMG! 60gig for under $300? sweet. Wonder if they'll be out before the student special is expired.
-
That was a MacRumors typo. It is actually 30GB -
****...I can't get to engadget now.
nm i can get to it again now. -
This shows that the iPod is at the end of it's line. They have no way to improve it. They need a new product all together. The movie store seems interesting and I believe they will get more studios just as the TV networks signed up. It trumps Amazon's offering big-time.
-
Guess there's no C2D Macbook Pro...
-
What a dissapointment. I was hoping they'd announce a Core 2 Duo Macbook Pro this week (needless to say I would've gotten it soon after).
-
Definitely disappointing! I guess this is an all around letdown. Or is there something more, or is there something i missed?
-
Anyone know when they'll release it? Any other Apple events coming up?
-
Look now, that iTV looks GREAT! And for those that were expecting computers, it was an entertainment announcement the whole way. No computers.
-
These events are becoming lamer and lamer and i only followed this and the last , i guess this can be attributed to the hype. -
Do you guys not understand what the iTV box is? Everyone knew that no computers would be released. If you thought any computers would be released you were kidding yourself.
The iTV is the device people have been waiting for for years. It brings all you content on the computer to your living room. -
Hopefully they'll show a picture of this 'iTV' and some previews of it online. Sounds like something I might get. Perhaps even an excuse to get a Hi Def TV as well. However, it better have some type of drive too like HD DVD or something, if it dont now I guess I will have to wait.
$299?
Sounds like a steal. -
Pictures of it on Engadget. -
I personally rather not have streaming, but its alright in some sense I guess, but to stream Hi Def content seems like you'll be using much of your LAN bandwidth.
-
Well now it seems it is over. It was exactly what I expected for the most part. I thought the iPod updates would be bigger, and I never saw the iTV coming. Although I did predict a video Airport Express, which is basically what this is, but with an interface. All in all I am not dissapointed. Kind of a yawn because we knew pretty much everything.
-
The new iPods look nice. I like the green one.
-
Yup, buying an ipod.
but yeah, they wouldn't have announced the macbook pro update to merom today anyway.... and they released imac merom last wed., so i'm hoping tomorrow they'll do the mbp...
__edit__
the shuffle looks pretty neat. I definently love the new prices. I mean... $350 for 80gigs!!!??!?? -
The update to the ipod lineup was neat, but I guess people were expecting more (I was), like a widescreen ipod or/and a iphone. The iTv might be the next big thing, we'll see.
-
-
But still, 20 gigs more and still $50 cheaper for their big boy is pretty sweet.
Though I'm seriously not sure if I'll get the free nano, sell it on ebay then buy the 30 or 80 gig.... or go ahead and get the old 30 gig ipod video. -
I just sit there and stare at the pricing they have now.
iPod Nano. 8GB = $249
iPod 60GB = $249
Than I start laughing at all those poor shmucks who are gonna be struggling over which one to get. -
-
Whoa!.. The new itunes roxXx!!
-
Do you guys think the latest macbook pro with C2D will be released during Photokina?
-
Doubtful. As we have all said before the Core2Duo MBP does not require an announcement. It is just a small processor upgrade. It will likely just show up one day at the Apple Store. I think the event at Photokina will be to announce Aperature 2.0 and possibly an update on CS3.
