Just a quick question today: How does Apple support/Apple Care work, hypothetically, if you buy your laptop from a non-authorized reseller? New machine, never opened and say...you take it out of the box, register it and apple care...and notice a HDD problem or maybe have a display issue out of the box?

Can you take it right to an Apple Store and get normal support/repair/replace service? All the normal options that anyone buying from Amazon/Apple Store will get?

Just wanted to know if it makes any difference to Apple where the computer is bought from with regard to service/warranty support.

    Thanks!

Apple Care is tied to the unit's serial number. Apple also provides warranty based upon the serial number, not where you purchased it from.
