I was looking through some websites today and I came across this. Can anyone confirm if this happens to their Mac or not? It's from here.

I tested the front page of both my guides, as they have pictures as well as lots of text. I find that if I use scrolling with two fingers, then for the first second of loading it will lag for a second, but if I hold down the scrollbar with a mouse button to scroll, nothing's wrong.

Rather minor, if you ask me.

I guess it depends on your graphics card, as mine can have multiple tabs open, yet still resize the window and scroll through pages instantly. Mine doesn't lag one bit.

Edit: Looking at those animations above, it almost looks like the computer didn't have enough system and/or graphics memory to do something that intensive.

The only time mine will do that is when my 2GB of memory is nearly full.

Hmm it seems that way, although my mouse is bloody sensitive so it moves very quickly across the screen. I'll have to try it on vista some time.

As far as the scrolling lag in OS X I have only seen this when scrolling an "Adobe" PDF with several pages. No issue at all in Preview since it's not bloated and it's much faster the Adobe Reader.

The window resize does happen just like that in iPhoto. I have the 24" 2.8Ghz iMac with 4GB ram and it still does that in iPhoto and I only have 40 pictures. iPhoto is just a very complex app.

Now while it's true that this doesn't happen in XP it does in fact happen in Vista. Since Vista implementation is very much like OS X's way of resizing windows without the old style tear. Vista has the resize lag in nearly every application but it's really bad because it still flickers a lot.
But again, it's no biggie it's how both systems (OS X and Vista) redraw and I prefer this way to the old way.

this is not really an OS X issue or a Vista issue, or really an issue, at all, is it?

has it ever happened, sure, in any OS, have I ever really thought twice about it, well, yes now I have unfortunately.
