How can I get my screen to just "stay on" and not dim. (while plugged in.. though mobile would be nice to know if possible also) I feel like I've already done what I can.. Unchecked the dim boxes in display prefs,..and set my power to custom settings so nothing sleeps and yet.. it still does it. Like right now I'm trying to use garage band..tuning my guitar for intonation..then my screen goes black and I have to wake it back up.. Help?

just go to System Preferences/Energy Settings

it is easy to understand from there. you can choose specific settings for on AC power and on Battery,

if that isn't working, than you will probably just have to take it into the store.

that's what I feared. I figured it couldn't be any harder. Perhaps I'll repair/reinstall the OS first if I can't out why it's being a jerk. It's not a real big problem, but I figured those check boxes would do something, and apparently they didn't for me.
