Is anyone else finding Safari (4.0.2) sluggish? I seem to be getting a lot of beachballs lately.
-
Safari does appear to become slow over time. One (possibly only temporary) remedy is to use an ad blocker, such as Safari Adblock.
-
Ya, I run an adblocker. Its just more recently that I've noticed the beachballs more often.

slander and lies!
but in all serious, i haven't noticed. certainly possible though. -
I've noticed it too. Ever since I updated, certain sites take way too long to load and as it's loading I get a lot of the beach balls and have to force quit.
I don't think it's my internet either, my other PCs don't do this so I'm not sure. -
The saddest thing about Safari now is that you can't even put a reload button on the toolbar
Firefox FTW.
Make sure that you guys are emptying your cache regularly. -
i reset safari, that includes emtpying the cash, didn't work.
im thinking about doing a fresh install of leopard soon anyway becuase im getting an ssd soon. -
I get the same problem with the Windows XP SP3 version, even though I have a quad-core PC.
Something is amiss with the beta coding. -
i am having the same problem..
random beach balls all the time..
sometimes, some websites will take forever and i just give up and use firefox and it loads normally.. -
-
dont really wanna make the switch to firefox because im already used to safari haha, but theyre practically both the same meh -
I haven't had a problem with a webpage loading, but what I *have* noticed is that all of the sudden some of the video clips are not running as smooth as before; i.e. jerkiness, etc. It's a random thing, though, and that makes me suspicious of the ISP I use.
