Anyone here trying safari 4? I think i actually do notice a speed diferrence when loading websites.
-
I've been using the Beta for a while and yes it is faster.
-
Yes, it is fast however it freezes a lot on some sites...

It seems that HD flash videos from YouTube are running a little more smooth.. not silk smooth but better than before. Can anyone else confirm this? This video always gave me problems:

About the "top sites" feature. Let's say that you have "large" selected. I'm assuming that it only loads those 6 top sites and not any more, is that right?
Can someone give me the keyboard shortcut to switch between tabs?
Thanks! -
have you tried non-beta?
-
Just downloaded it but haven't had enough time to say if its better than beta. Tabs look a hair different but that's about it so far.
-
I just downloaded it and can say it is definitely faster than 3.0 was. I just went on YouTube and didn't experience any freezing at all, a plus for me as I was also having some problems on that line.
My question would be: is it secure? I've been using FF, but if Safari 4.0 has the same security features (for that matter, is any browser really secure???), then I could make the switch; for speed if nothing else. -
it is a lot better, now we can add a button to open a new tab, the tabs are not on the far top of the window, alt+` switches between windows in the browser and it seems to be much more stable

I just played that vid on Saf4.0 and it ran smooth for me, no trouble at all.

finally!!! a new tab button

How do I get all the screens to show up on my Macbook using Safari like when I first updated to Safari 4 to where you can see about 12 browsers ??
-
They claim 50% quicker speeds in Java but I don't see this to be true my Scottrade screen ticker still takes forever to open up on my Macbook Pro.
-
I've been using Safari 4 since early Betas and its a good browser. On OSX its really good, on Windows... well.. its ok on Windows, but not as good as OSX... more buggy, and a stupid set up to be more like IE, and less options.

Anyone know if S4.0 is considered secure as a web browser?
-
I think it is haven't heard of any security issues with it like there were for IE 6, 7
