Thanks alot!!!! I always wanted to test out Safari. It's about time they done this :)

    Why not Linux too? :(

You should put this in the Windows section too.

I'm using it. It works very well. I like it much better than Firefox.

I'm using it right now as well, i'll have to put it to the test before I use it over FireFox. How is 3rd party support for Safari?

the only thing negative I have found yet is that my back and forward buttons are not working for back/forward browsing, but I am sure there is a fix for that.

works very well actually, very suprised, I like how they even made bookmarks work like the new finder.

I like it very much. It was Slow at first, but then it magically became superfast (faster than FF).

    I love adjectives :D

It seems to run lower mem too. At 18,450k with 5 tabs open.

FF, IE7 and Opera would be at least 30 something.

yeah, definitely some wierd little bugs, but just go ahead and report them, Apple is known for updating and fixing things pretty effeciently, I hope they keep it up with their windows software also.

maximization is a little messed up still, i always have a little wierd.

seems to have settled down on the RAM too, hmm

also, there are soooo many little add-ons in firefox that I kind of can't live without, like Rikaichan, a little in line Japanese translator tool that is freaking incredible, one of the most useful things for me learning Japanese, but honestly, I have used Safari on a Mac many times before, and I wasn't very impressed, but I am finding this one to be much better.

my biggest issues are the fact the typing google in the address bar, and pressing Ctrl+Enter does not automatically add http://www.*.com to what you have typed. and either does Shift+Enter etc. maybe there is a different shortcut but I don't think so unfortunately.

Hrm, my back/forward buttons don't work on my mouse.
And I'm having trouble opening new tabs without having to ctrl click (i.e. I want links that would've popped up in new windows to open a new tab instead).

Also can't access an auto-hidden startup bar at the bottom of Windows XP (it doesn't slide up like it should)...

Any quick way to resolve these issues?

definitely a BETA, hopfully they indeed resolve the issues, go on Apple, do your dirty work!

does anyone know how to get spellchecking working? i see it in the menus but I can't seem to get it to work correctly.

it is such a savior in FF.

new tab thing is just a setting in preferences.

i don't know if there is a way to fix the auto-hide taskbar besides keeping safari un maximized.
