Does the 2010 model of the MacBook pro support SATA 3.0 drives?

I was looking at SSD drives and the OCZ Vertex 2 looks like a good choice (128 gb) but I'm not sure cause there are so many choices. What are you experiences with SSDs?

    I does actually.

The Vertex is a good drive, but also the Agility is pretty nice. if your up for some reading I definitely suggest this article.

    OCZ's Vertex 3 Pro: Second-Gen SandForce Perf Preview : Meet OCZ's Vertex 3 Pro'

This article is for the new ones, but it does give you some info on the older SSDs.

The New MBPs actually have SATA III 6gbs on the main drive, but not from the optical (for you opti-bay users)

Which version of the Vertex 3 would work in the MBP 2010 13"? The 6g or the 3g?

And are 6g drives backwards compatible with 3g?

I think only the MBP 2011 model has a SATA III 6Gb/s port. I could be wrong though.

I believe all SATA drives and ports are backward and forward compatible. :)
