I'm looking for a SD card reader for my Unibody Macbook Pro 17. I've founds lots of them, but I want one that when fully inserted, is fluch with the side of the Macbook. I want to leave it in all the time.

I think components are pretty cramp in there, so the chance of you finding a SD card reader that will have the card be flush with the side of the computer is slim.

I have an older 17 inch MBP and would like the same thing. Right now I use my home desktop to get files off of SD cards. A flush option would be great but how would you get the card out?

Apple should sell one of these in their retail stores.

SSDs and the MacBook Pro | Storage | Macworld Video | Macworld

Video of the Filemate SSD card - it is flush with the MBP and it is bootable. The video shows a side-by-side demonstration of launching applications with the SSD vs the internal hard disk and the SSD card is much faster. I'm going to order one of these - the only question is what size to get. I would have to rearrange the storage on my MBP too.
