Of course, this is only a rumour and should only be read and observed for interest...but it is interesting :D. Credit to AppleInsider:

Sam's Thoughts (Or in other words, not part of the AppleInsider article):

I think it'll look great! For me, the current MacBook Pro design was already great, it was only getting old, so minor changes was exactly what I was looking for. I'd like to see the MacBook Pro adopt the MacBook-style keyboard (please, white backlit keys), and that's most likely considering the rest of the product line, even the Apple Keyboard nows uses the MacBook keyboard.

And I'm expecting these to be for the next release (Montevina)! I don't see why Apple would have them ready so early if they were for Nehalem in early 2009.

While Apple's at it, ditch the Aluminum color and go for an automotive paint job with several color options.

    Good article Sam!

Do you think we will see them before January? Being able to change the hard drive your self is a big plus if you plan on keeping it for a long time. But I want a free ipod. Damn Apple.

hmmm.... how about a 14-inch MBP? 15.4 is nice and all, but i'd like a powerful Mac notebook in a small package. If Apple was able to squeeze so much into the MBA, they should be able to do it with the MBP as well.

these holes were made so that light could travel from the led backlight to the apple logo.maybe they'll put some paper to hide it..I think I know what will happen: apple releases the montenevia in october/november ,just like they did for santa rosa.then they add nehalem in march 2009 or around that time.this is the perfect scenario!!!

wohoo, luke I doubt it will take so long to release these new lappies, I certainly hope so, I'd think august / september is more realistic for shipping, maybe a reveal around late july or early august?

Intel is going to have theyre own big show introducing the centrino 2 family officially the 14th or the 15th, maybe apple pushed in a steve note into that meeting, who knows?
