I asked my friend who works at Apple to get me a discount, and asked him to order the MBA 13, but he accidentally got the MBP 13 instead. I called Apple and they said that all sales are final, and screw you.

Is there anything I can do? The screen on the MBP 13 is really horrible (1280x800)

If your friend is the one who bought the machine, he/she is the one who will have to return it. As long as they have the receipt and are within 14 days, there should be no problem.

Never heard of Apple not accepting returns... How else would they be able to sell refurbished Macs? :p

But, as saturnotaku said, ask your friend to return it. Make sure he gets the correct model next time.

Apple's return policy is, in fact, one of the better ones out there. While the number of days is short (14), it's pretty much no questions asked, with no restocking fee.
