    Hi,

What are the chances of Apple bringing out 17 inch Macbook Pro with (retina display) limited edition later this year for the Holidays? In other words for example it would be available oct-dec 31 only. It would have the same specs as the new 15 inch macbook pro no optical drive, usb 3.0, Thunderbolt etc. only with a better processor (I assume intel will bring out more i7's by that time and an improved graphics card. I am not familiar with apple enough to know if this type of scenrio is possible.

About as likely as winning the Power Ball jackpot to be able to afford such a machine.

The chance is much higher of having a MBP 17 w/ retina. For the limited edition, I agree with doh123. You could start talking single digit percentages though for a "non-limited-edition" MBP 17 retina.
