I have seen few people asking this question here, sorry if it is covered before, but to the new people who just want to run Windows on a MAC without any OSX present I can confirm that you can.

    Please check out this thread:

    http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/wi...all-osx-after-installing-xp-via-bootcamp.html

I tried it, and removed my OSX, I was still able to boot into my Window partition without OSX present

But ofcourse I reinstalled my OSX, cause I like the Linux part of OSX :p

Lol... That's a black eye for those OSX fans.

Linux part of OSX? You mean UNIX?

Interesting. So after doing it you can still restore it to OS X by booting of the OS X DVD? Just want to make sure in case I decide to do this.

Yes, after this you just boot off the OSX DVD and install the OSX onto the non NTFS partition.

Doesn't make sense to me either. Buy a Mac and then wipe OSX off it.

It makes sense. He could have bought a mac for looks and specs, and not really OS X.

A friend of mine bought a MacBook Air for his mother. She runs only Windows on it. So there you go. :)

I run OSX and Windows, I only started this thread for the people who wishes to remove OSX and run Windows exclusively, anyways, there is nothing wrong with buying a MB/MBP for the looks AND getting it to run what you want on it.
