Download the program "App Delete". Install it. Run it.

    Here's the link:

    App Delete Download

It's a good program that works as advertised.

Download AppCleaner, and drag AppDelete to it.

To get rid of AppCleaner, download AppZapper, and drag AppCleaner to the Window.

To get rid of AppZapper download uApp and drag AppZapper onto uApp.

To get rid of uApp, download AppTrap and drag uApp to the Trash and select "remove all".

To get rid of AppTrap, download CleanApp before installing AppTrap and then drag AppTrap onto CleanApp.

To get rid of CleanApp, download Yank and drag CleanApp onto Yank.

To get rid of Yank, download unInstaller and drag Yank onto unInstaller.

    To get rid of unInstaller...

    ... Reinstall OS X :D.

I don't think AppDelete has many, if any at all, associated files. So all you really need to do is drag AppDelete from the Applications folder to the Trash. You can then use Spotlight to search for any associated files.

Just out of curiosity why would you want to get rid of iTunes completely?

Or if you're like me, don't bother uninstalling programs (except the ones that have licenses where you can't activate it until it was previously deactivated) and just reformat the Mac every two months or so ;).

I'm a neat freak :p. And always I find I download applications, use it once or twice, and forget about it. Rather than spending the time to get rid of them one by one I just reformat the Mac altogether.

I'm with cash, why delete it? It's a DARN good media system. Not so good when used in windows, but it's great once you learn how easy it is to use.
It's free, stable, and pretty light.
And add ons like Synergy make it very convenient to use.
I'm sure you could reinstall OS X and choose not to install it (don't remember if it was an option) or just use one of the programs taelrak mentioned to remove it.

Just want to give a note to "Teacher", if I remember correctly you do need iTunes to play music in Front Row.
