Just scored this beast this morning from a local Craigslist seller for a measly $40. In original condition, barely even looks used. Just had to clean the carrying case that had some dust on the outside and bam, this thing looks new.
According to the LowEndMac site, this thing is sporting:
    16Mhz CPU
1MB onboard RAM + 8MB addin RAM from Kingston Technology
    2400 baud addin modem
    1.4 floppy drive
40MB SCSI hard drive (enough for all 10 of your mp3s!!!)
and weighs in at 16 pounds, it can go head to head with the 19" mALX!!

The guy I bought it from worked for an engineering firm in the late 80s, early 90s, and he said the engineers used it to design stuff for the local power grid, and all the original design software is still on it. I gotta get the Powerbook 100 power adapter to turn it on, cant wait to see what is left on there. Wonder if they left any accounts on it?? ;)

No joke, I'm so stoked to plug it in after mid terms this week and see what is on it.
Reportedly it has OS 6.0.4 I think. I'm hoping all the original apps are still on it.
Also, gonna try and find a copy of Photoshop 1.0 or a place where I can download it and put that on there, go back to our digital editing roots.

Edit: Can anyone help me find old skool copies of stuff like Photoshop 1.0, ClarisWorks 1.0 or 2.0, any scientific apps, etc.? I searched on Google but what came up was pretty useless, or the sites were so old that they don't exist anymore, or the download links no longer function.

Wow, I feel old, and I was only 5 years old when this was made.
Weird to think I have a laptop almost as old as I am (23 y.o.)

Hmm, I wonder if I should do an NBR review and submit it to the Apple section??
Think they would include it in the database?

Give Adobe a call. They might be willing to entertain you for a couple of bucks, and score you a copy of Photoshop 1.0.

The guy that wrote it was a student at the local university and lived about a mile from where I was living at the time (Ann Arbor, MI) when he wrote the original code. Version 1.0 was released on the Mac only.

    Just useless tidbits.
