sorry could not change it to have a no issues option. if you have no issues just please post that you didnt again sorry that I forgot to add that option

p.s. any mod able to change maybe the last option to no issues ?

just a poll on reliability, to get an idea how many people have had to use there warranty and at what point in the product life.

this is a multi choice question, if you had issues druing your 1st and 3rd year please select both options

1: issues in 1 year of purchase
    2: issues in 2 years
    3: issues in 3 years
    4: issues in 4+ years
5: non stop issues during time owned

just post your issues with comments on your choice
also if it had a problem in the first year how did the fix work out, has it been 2 more years and no problem ect...

    Thanks
    Bob

Just a heads-up, the MacBook Pro was introduced in January of 2006. I got mine in June of 2007 and have had no issues yet!

There should be an option for "I've had no issues". Or else for the people that see the poll results all they see are "problems, problems, problems", which isn't accurate because the people that have had no issues have no option to vote.

I keep a roll of duct tape, a pair of pliers and an arc welder right next to mine.

Nice computer, but it's a full time job keeping it going. :shifty

PS: Mine's been perfect for the 5 months I've had it.

First off, there should be an option for "no issues" - I haven't had any.
Second, it's only been around for a year and a half, so kind of hard to find anyone with issues during 3rd or 4th year yet :p

I've been able to fix Everything with only a hammer. Maybe I'll write some instructions later.

I added 'No Issues" to the poll.

I went through 4 CoreDuo machines with various issues. Apple replaced the last one with a new Core2Duo machine around the beginning of the year and have had no issues since. So I think that while the CoreDuo were definitely buggy machines, it seems most major issues have been fixed with the Core2Duo.

The main problem with Apple is not reliability: it's their quality control.

My 500Mhz Pismo was perfect, as was my 1GHz Powerbook.

I sell mine after about 18 months though.
