    Hey all,

Just curious what would be a good price on a refurb 11 or 13 inch Air in the Apple Store? I see that they're currently priced at $849/$1019, respectively, for the June 2012 model. Do cheaper models sometimes pop in, from your experience?

    Thanks,
    H

Buy a brand new Air 13 w/ 128gb model from BHphotovideo website for $1,100 free shipping and no tax. If you buy it from Apple or bestbuy, you end up paying $1,200 plus tax.

Why pay more for new when the refurb is guaranteed like-new condition by Apple? I'm looking to pay more around $750, definitely not over $1k.

Then you should have said that in the first place. And no, you won't find a refurbished Mac of recent vintage for less than what their online store quotes. Not even used machines drop that low unless they're older, especially not the superior 13" model.

I clearly stated in the beginning that I wanted *refurb* and was asking if *cheaper* models come into stock in the *Apple Store*. Not sure how much more clear I could have been. Their stock and prices change all the time, so no, it is possible that something will go on there for cheaper than the $849 I've cited above. So I'm still waiting to have my question answered: anyone seen any other inventory going for cheaper on the Apple store recently? I hope a kind soul out there has some info they can share with me!

I think I know what you are getting at and no the store is not like dell or several outlets. The apple refurbished store prices their macs at one price and they do not change hourly/daily/monthly. They change about every quarter (3 months). Wait long enough and yes, they will go down... or out of stock... thats about it.
