    Hi there.
So... I'm feeling pretty stupid right now :p.
I was working in TextEdit (Snow Leopard) and saved my work to a .docx file. Since I had to repeat some of the things in that same paper, instead of starting a new one I just erased and did the other one right there.
Now the really stupid thing. When I'm finished with this one I press CMD + S. *Facepalm*
I didn't do a Time Machine or manual backup in between, so that isn't an option. Searched the Internet and a bit in Finder (looking for an older version of the file maybe?) and nothing.

Any ideas? Other than doing the whole thing again... :p

    Thanks in advance!

Depends how long ago it was.... and how much you can undo... if you were on Lion it would have versions and you wouldn't have a problem.

If you hadn't done much, you can copy and paste the new one into a different window, then try to do undo a bunch and see if you can get all the way back.. its unlikely.. if you've done to much, or if you closed out TextEdit.

Thanks for your answer. I didn't try that. If it ever happens again, I will (hopefully I won't have to).
Yes, Lion has versions. Sure wish I had that feature at that precise moment. Or at least something like a temp file.
Anyway, I've since re-written the thing. Took me a lot less than I thought it would.
    Once again, thanks! :)
