I just got my first iPod and wondered what software ya'll are using to put DVD movies on your iPod. I had a Sandisk Sansa before this, but it wasn't compatible with my MBP - I couldn't remove music or create playlists.

Any recommendations? Freeware or otherwise? And if you recommend a software, please let me know what you like about it.

Also - do you use iTunes or do you use an iTunes alternative, and why? (The iTunes alternative that I am familliar with is Senuti.)

How about a stream ripper? Like to record YouTube video for iTunes? Does anyone also know of a good FAQ link for Mac users?

You might want to give FairUse Wizard a try or Pocketdivx encoder. Those are the tools I use when I want to put video on my gp2x.
