My macbook is idling around 60 C with fans spinning around 3k rpm. I have a antec 2 fan cooler in use but I don't think it's working that well now... What are some laptop coolers you guys are using and would suggest?

Instead of a laptop cooler (or at least in addition to one), I'd go to the Apple store and see if they can do something about that temp. 60C isn't anything bad under a light-medium load, but if it's idling and the fans are spinning at 3k and it's still 60C, then you might have a problem. Have you tried cleaning out the vents?

Yeah the MacBook should not idle at 60°C. Unless the ambient temperature is relatively high. Turn up your Air Conditioner :D!

If you were running the fans at default speed (under 2000 RPM), then 60 C might have been "reasonable" (although still high). But since you were going at 3000 RPM, that's not normal at all.

I'm using my MacBook at 3600 RPM and its at 45 C.

I have a Macbook Pro and the Antec cooler works fine with it (idling is about 38-40C). I guess you should pay your friendly neighbourhood Apple Genius a visit :)
