When i first created my Bootcamp partition i made it way too big. Is there a way to re-size it without losing all the data i have on it and return that space to my Mac OS?

You will have to get rid of your current Boot Camp partition in order to resize it. So, the only way to prevent all the data from being lost is to back up your existing Windows installation or make a carbon copy of it.

-Use WinClone (Mac software) to make a copy of the Windows partition
-Completely remove your Boot Camp partition
-Create a new Boot Camp partition (whatever size you want)
-Use WinClone to restore from the backup you made

or you can use Paragon's CampTune, that can resize the bootcamp partition without lost any data. I checked on my early '08 MacBook and worked great!
