    I just upgraded my Macbook from 1GB or GB of RAM. However, I'm not really seeing any improvment. I actually think my PC might be loading slower. Can this really be?

    You might want to checkup on the cas latency on those ram and compared it to the original ram. I doubt it makes little difference in speed. It might be something else.

    Are you sure the RAM is properly installed? You can check in the System Profiler to see if OS X recognizes the full 2GB. Also, you can use the Apple Hardware Test.
