Hey,
I ordered 4GB kit from eBay for the unibody macbook pro... but one module was damaged... So I was wondering if using 3GB of ram would cause problems of instability, they're both at the same speed 8500 DDR3 1066Mhz... Or should I just wait till they send the replacement? (It'll took loooooong time)
Thanks

No, no problems with instability. The new MBP uses the P45M chipset, so the memory will operate in flex mode - the first GB of the 2GB module and the 1GB module will operate in dual channel mode, the second GB of the 2GB module will operate in single channel mode.

Thanks for your answers, I didn't know they could work as dual, that's great.
In the meantime I'll use 3GB...
RAM : 1GB + 2GB = instability?
