    Hey Guys,

I have an older macbook pro (pre unibody) that I got in early 2007, and I was wondering does anyone notice the total brightness of the screen starting to diminish??

I have really used this laptop over the year, as a desktop replacement and other uses, and if feels like, even at full brightness it is kind of dark..

yes they did get dimmer faster for some reason, also please note that most screens are now brighter than they were in 07, so you may have both factors.

It's all a big conspiracy between screen manufacturers and lens/contact makers (hey it's all glass/plastic/whoknowswhat anyway right?). The more strained your eyes get from watching the laptop screen, the more you'll invest in eyeglasses and contacts.

But anyway I didn't seem to notice any major difference on my 2007 MBP (glossy screen). It may just be because any dimming was gradual over time so I didn't notice it though.
