Just wondering what is the best option to use office on MBP.

I am able to get the student discout for the Windows 2007 ultimate for reduced price but does this work well with parallel, or should i simple try the Office for Mac...

Simply too lazy to log out each time i want to use office :)

U can use VMware ( i use it ) or parellels so that u dont have to log out each time. With vmware , it kind of works flawless

Second option would be to use office 2008. u can get it at a reduced price from amazon.

It will work well with both Parallels and VMWare. But you can get MS Office 2008 for Mac.

Office for Mac should work with out any problems. You have a compatiable options to make it backward compatiable to the older versions. If university school, some give a great discount due to their site liesense.

Remember most office packages give you a 3 user liesense so you can install in on your desktop as well as you notebook.

I have both and I prefer Office 2007. I run mine under Fusion with no issues at all.

Use Parallels/Fusion. A lot more convenient than Boot camp for these kind of things.
