I got the zPortal keyboard cover for my Macbook. I noticed that when I close it now the screen touches the cover, is this bad? Do people take the cover off when they close their Macs?
-
No, it's not bad. The only thing is that your finger grease will rub off on the screen, so it will look like your keys are imprinted. You can polish the screen, though. Ah, the joys of glossy screens ...

I have the new iSkin cover for my Macbook Air. When I close the screen and reopen it the cover sticks to the screen. When I clean the screen it will not stick so I recommend make sure you clean the screen of dust particles.

cool will do thanks

I use a thin foam type paper, the kind that comes with new laptops, to separate the screen and the keyboard when close.
cheers ... -
I got a new keyboard cover, and this one is a bit higher, so it feels like when I close it it actually presses against the screen, such that it doesn't close all the way. Can that be damaging to the screen? And would forcing it shut be damaging to the screen?
-
I will never care about the keyboard cover. I bought my machine to use it.

The moshi clear guard is actually quite good since its uber thin and just covers the keys. I use that along with the Radtech ScreenSaverz product which basically is a nice and thin microfiber cloth which prevents the keyboard protector from coming contact with the screen (i.e. the best of both worlds)

I am glad to read it here.
