I think what Apple has done with Time Capsule is pretty cool. However do you think it will behave like an external hard drive? Can I partition it? Put other storage on it or is it Time Machine exclusive? Also lets just say im not wireless (Dont know why id buy a time capsule) I know theres a USB port in the back... can you plug it in to your computer if its not connected to a router or on a network? what do you guys think

it is not Time Machine exclusive, it will wirelessly mount to your Mac Desktop or Windows PC, as well as mount over an ethernet connection, I am sure you just use Apple's Airdisk software, which is very simple to use.

as far as partitioning goes, there really would be no point in all honesty, but it could very well be possible.

just check out apple's site, all the information is there.
