    Hello there

I didn't want to create a thread just to ask this simple question, however the user that I sent one private message with the same question, didn't answer yet.

Is it possible to change the OS language without paying an extra fee? Like Windows 7 (except ultimate) that you need to buy a "language pack" for some absurd price.

The language that I wanna change is Japanese -> English

System preferences -> languages and text (it's a flag in the top row). Drag english to the top. Reboot.

It's good to create a thread to ask a simple question. Sending someone a PM to ask a question like this is not good.

This thread can be useful for many others! I've myself figured it out myself, but it took me hours to find the ''Control Panel'' -.-

    Thank you for your answer

I chose a user that usually posts in this section
but looks like it didn't work.

I wanted to try Macbook once (actually try the Mac OS).
Since I won't use it for gaming, mostly for academic/general use.

My only concern was if I needed to pay to change the language... I just don't find myself paying for something that is already expensive (in the case of Windows OS) or Macbook itself.

I appreciate for your answers again.

Again, that's precisely a situation in which you should NOT use the pm functionality. The pm functionality is intended for messages which are between you and some other user, and should be private. There's nothing private about this, and by keeping it public, the pool of people who can help is large, and future people in need of help can refer to this thread using the search feature.

One example of a legitimate use of a PM would be to discuss the terms of an agreement you have made with another user.
