So, I'm in Los Angeles for a few days and there's an Apple store down the road. My new Macbook (purchased in Canada) is having jaggy dvd playback issues. Can I just bring it it to the Apple store and get help from a "genius" or will they freak over the fact that's it's a non-US machine and not touch it. As you might know, there is no Apple store in the city of Montreal, where I purchased the MB.

It doesn't matter where the machine is from.
Remember though that the retail Apple Stores usually require you to book an appointment beforehand at their website, or you might not get to see a Mac Genius.

How close is the Laval, Quebec Apple Store to Montreal? I got the impression it wasn't that far out from it.
