My dad's mbp is not the newest one jus released. It is the one with the silver keyboard.

He's having a problem with his trackpad. With some frequency, he's been telling me that he has to use 2 fingers to move the mouse pointer around on the screen and in doing so, the mouse pointer has a lot of lag or in otherwords, it stalls or get stuck and then moves.

I've tried searching, but the google searches bring up the new mbp (black keyboard) and its trackpad problems.

I'm not completely sure, but when the computer is put in standby mode and then restarted, he gets this trackpad problem. Then he reboots and sometimes it returns to normal function. I haven't had time to reproduce the symptoms, but wanted to get the forum's input.

    Anyone with similar problems? Solutions?

    Thanks in advanced,

    GregC
