This only started happening after I installed leopard. It happens quite often, but I will put my MBP to sleep come back and open up the laptop and the screen won't turn on so I try pushing some keys. Sometimes the laptop will start running, but nothing shows up on the screen. I try closing it and opening it, but that doesn't work. I also try pushing the power button and that doesn't do anything. I repeat the same thing over several times and finally the screen comes on. After I'm back on my computer the cursor becomes jerky while using the track pad. Any clues as to what's wrong?

I'm going to guess you have iStat Pro. Remove it from your dashboard and see if this solves it. I had the same problem, and this was the cause.

vipergts I reported this very same issue. Drives me BONKERS! I removed iStat Pro a week ago and haven't had the issue crop up yet...

I took istat off my dashboard and I've put my MBP to sleep twice and it hasn't happened again. So I'm pretty sure that was the problem.

Great! I don't know what it is about iStat Pro that messes with Leopards sleep mode, but I hope they fix it soon, since I really miss having it.
